This Privacy Policy explains how HighPex Hosting collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our website, billing panel, and hosting services. We aim to collect only what we genuinely need to operate your services and keep your account secure.
01 Overview
We act as a data controller for the account information you provide to us, and as a data processor for the content you choose to host on our infrastructure. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
02 Data We Collect
Information you provide
- Account details — name, email address, username, and password (stored only as a hash).
- Contact and billing details — address, phone number, and company name where supplied.
- Support content — the messages, attachments, and details you include in tickets.
- Service configuration — domain names, plan selections, and settings you enter during setup.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps.
- Usage and security logs — login attempts, panel activity, and administrative actions taken on your account.
- Server metrics — resource usage figures needed to operate and bill your services.
03 How We Use Data
- To create, provision, and maintain the services you order.
- To process payments, generate invoices, and send renewal notices.
- To authenticate you and detect suspicious or fraudulent account activity.
- To respond to support tickets and troubleshoot technical issues.
- To send essential service notices such as maintenance windows, incidents, and billing alerts.
- To meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
Note: Essential service and billing notices are part of operating your account and are not marketing. You can opt out of promotional email separately without affecting them.
04 Payment Information
Payment transactions are handled by the payment methods and providers offered in your billing panel. Where a third-party processor is used, your full card details are submitted directly to that processor and are not stored on our servers.
We retain transaction records — such as amount, currency, date, reference, and status — because they are required for accounting, invoicing, and dispute handling.
05 Cookies & Sessions
- Session cookies keep you signed in to the billing panel. These are strictly necessary; the panel cannot function without them.
- Preference data remembers choices such as selected currency or interface options.
- We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Blocking essential cookies in your browser will prevent you from logging in.
06 Sharing & Third Parties
We share data only where it is necessary to deliver a service or comply with the law. This may include:
- Infrastructure and datacenter providers that host the underlying servers.
- Payment processors that handle transactions on our behalf.
- Domain registrars where registrant details must be submitted to register a domain.
- Email delivery providers used to send transactional messages.
- Authorities where we receive a valid and lawful request.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to any third party.
07 Data Retention
- Account and billing records are retained while your account is active and afterwards for as long as required by tax and accounting rules.
- Security and access logs are retained for a limited period for abuse investigation, then rotated out.
- Hosted content and databases are deleted after service termination and the associated grace period.
Once data is deleted from our systems and backups, it cannot be restored.
08 Security Measures
- Passwords are stored using one-way hashing and are never recoverable in plain text.
- Traffic to our panel and websites is encrypted in transit.
- Administrative access to production systems is restricted and logged.
- Infrastructure is patched and monitored on an ongoing basis.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. Using a strong, unique password and keeping your own applications updated remains an important part of protecting your account.
09 Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete details.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to records we must legally retain.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Receive a copy of the data you provided in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent for optional communications at any time.
Most account details can be updated directly in your billing panel. For other requests, open a support ticket so we can verify your identity before acting.
10 Content You Host
If your website or application collects personal data from your own visitors, you are the controller of that data and remain responsible for having your own privacy notice and lawful basis for processing it.
We access hosted content only where necessary — for example, to resolve a support request you raise, to investigate abuse, or to maintain platform stability.
11 Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or legal obligations evolve. The "last updated" date reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will notify you by email or through your billing panel.
